Things I like #20

It's been a while since I've written a Things I Like post and well, it's time I did. So here it is.

I like being organized. I am trying to organize several notebooks that may effectively contain my brain and I've got to tell you, it's sort of a relief to know that my brain may be functional again soon, even if it is on paper-type life support to get by. Sleep deprivation is definitely taking its toll on my mental capacities, but I can trust the old magic trick called paper to save the day.

I like paper. I've tried to put my brain on my iPod and it never works. I forget to check my to do lists, I do silly things like let my two year old take pictures with it and the next thing you know he's gone and deleted all of my notes to myself and I have no clue what I need to buy at the grocery store. (In spite of which I continue to keep my grocery list on there because that actually works quite well when it hasn't been erased.)

I like sewing and more importantly, I like making things of my own devising. You know, drafting. I'm working on a pattern right now that I'm really excited about that is also making my life easier.

I like baby wearing. I've done it with all my kids, but none so much as this one. It is so convenient to strap him to me when we go play outside or go to the library or wherever so that I can have two hands free to herd his older siblings or push swings or schlep library books.

I like these roses that grow on several prolific bushes around our apartments. I like that The Mister brings one or two inside for me to enjoy sometimes. I like that the bushes are so covered in flowers that I don't feel like I'm depriving anyone by having an occasional bloom on my bookshelf in the kitchen. I like that they smell fantastic and I like that they brighten my home.
